Wine in Seymour

Seymour is proud to be at the beginning of the sprawling Goulburn Valley wine region which stretches from Seymour northward to the Murray River. The main influencing factors in our region are the hills of the Great Dividing Range and the Goulburn River which mitigates our lengthy and warm summers, the Goulburn also provides an abundance of lakes, billabongs and creeks and has laid down some of the best soil in the country. With this combination of the Goulburn, elevation, varied soil types, rainfall and warm temperatures, it’s no wonder some of Australia’s best wine is grown right here in our backyard.
