The Seymour Racing Club has long been synonymous with Country Racing in Victoria, however in 2016, Seymour become a premier racing destination with a $6 million racecourse upgrade, thanks to the Victorian Government.

The redevelopment has seen the track widened, a new irrigation system laid, new drainage systems and the laying of new turf. There has also be an upgrade to the members and public facilities, ensuring that guests are comfortable in excellent amenities. Hosting over 15 race meetings a year, including the prodigious Godolphin Seymour Cup held in October.
